Gift Guide for Little Ladies

DSC04503.jpg

My first holiday gift guide of 2019 is catered towards little ladies between the ages of 2-5. I have a 3 and a half year old girly-girl and she definitely lets me know what is on her wish list, so coming up with this gift guide was a breeze. In fact, the hardest part was narrowing it down!

B. Toys Marble Run Light and Sound

Bella recently saw a commercial for this marble run on TV and I think she would love it. Our favourite local shop Cravings, has a marble run on display and it keeps her entertained the whole time I’m shopping (which can admittedly be awhile sometimes). I’ll just be sure to keep the little marbles out of reach of her curious baby brother.

Little People Big Dreams Matching Game

Our own little lady received this matching game for her third birthday and it is one of our favourite things to do together. Bella is already familiar with all the female heroes featured in the game, as she loves the Little People Big Dreams book collection. I love hearing her pronounce their names (Ella Fitzgerald = Elephants Gerald) while we are playing. We also like learning more about each of the inspiring female leaders during the game. And the crazy part is, she actually beats my husband and I every single time.

American Girl Truly Me Doll
Chances are you already know about American Girl Dolls and while we don’t own one yet, I think Bella may be approaching the age where she would appreciate this iconic toy. They are definitely a huge trend in the States, and we have window-shopped in the American Girl stores while traveling. They sell pretty much every accessory for these dolls that you can imagine. My favourite part is how customizable the dolls are.

Claris: The Chicest Mouse in Paris and Fashion Show Fiasco

I recently discovered these two adorably illustrated books at a friend’s house and I know they will be a hit for any littles who love to dress up. I’m always partial to rhyming books and even better, these tell a tale about courage, compassion and a stylish little mouse. No wonder they are so beautiful, the author Megan Hess, is an international fashion illustrator. Oui Oui.

I Love Plum Tutu

I’ll admit, I may live vicariously through my kids at times. And every part of me wishes they had this tutu in my size. I’ve had my eye on one of these ever popular Plum Tutus since she was a baby but I’ve never reached the checkout stage of online shopping. This velvet and glitter number may just be the one I’ve been waiting for. It’s screaming Bella Rina’s name (or maybe her moms ;) and I just can’t get enough of it.

Snacks & Sweets Food Cart by Melissa & Doug

Melissa and Doug takes the cake when it comes to toy brands. Their wooden toys are durable, innovative, and keep kids busy for hours. I love everything about this food cart, that converts from an ice cream cart to a hot dog stand and includes over 40 play pieces. I think this would make an amazing gift for siblings to share and would look oh so sweet in a playroom.

Pink Scooter

Ever since Bella saw some kids who were a few years older than her, zoom by on their scooters this summer, she has wanted one. As precious as my preschooler is, I will say she is not the most coordinated, so her riding a scooter makes me a little nervous. After some research, I found this Micro of Switzerland scooter with 3 wheels (rather than 2), to improve balance and stability. She will still likely need quite a bit of assistance and practice for now but she is determined. I’m excited to set it up and have it waiting with a ribbon on it under the tree, on Christmas morning.

Love Powered Littles: I am Affirmation Cards

A few months ago, I saw a friend on instagram doing daily affirmation cards with her daughter and I thought it was such a positive practice. Since then, I’ve been implementing daily verbal affirmations with Bella into our routine but I love the idea of having something tangible as well. This boxed set contains 23 powers to affirm greatness in our little ones, and 7 cards to support us parents too (love that). And it helps that the packaging and branding is as beautiful as the meaning behind it. I love this as a stocking stuffer and can’t wait to receive our order in the mail!

I hope you found this gift guide helpful! If all else fails, there is literally every Frozen II product you can think of, available for sale. When I was at Walmart yesterday I saw everything from Frozen II pyjamas and underwear, to a waffle iron and yogurt :)

Stay tuned for more gift guides coming soon!
