Bella’s Nursery Reveal

As soon as we found out we were having a baby GIRL, I eagerly began planning her nursery! I briefly mourned the loss of my make-up & dressing room and then promptly started decorating.  I looked to Pinterest for inspiration.  Bella's room was (mostly) complete months before she arrived. I couldn't be more excited to share it with you today!

I chose a mostly white colour palette, to fit nicely with the rest of our home.  Blush pink and champagne accents were also incorporated.  We painted the formerly beige walls a clean, true white called Ultra True White by Behr. It turned out perfectly and made me want to paint the rest of our house this colour!

'The Princess Sleeps Here' sign welcomes guests into Bella's room. This sign was actually in my room when I was growing up.  My husband painted the previously brown frame white, to go with the decor.

Although I wanted a beautiful nursery for my baby to be, I did not want to break the bank. Money could be better spent on things like her college fund or clothes ;). So I opted to thrift a few pieces in the baby's room.  I bought the crib from my friend and fellow blogger Karyn, after her son Noah was done with it.  I dressed it with linens from Pottery Barn Kids & a canopy.

I absolutely adore this rocking chair by Zuo Modern.  It is surprising comfortable and very compact.  I love the minimalist feel of it.  I am still on the hunt for the perfect pouf to rest my feet on when sitting in it.  Any suggestions?

You may recognize the floral heart from a previous blog I did.

A chandelier was a must have item. I was surprised to find the perfect white & vintage pink washed fixture at home depot.  It lights B's room beautifully and was affordable.

What better way to welcome a new baby than a gorgeous balloon from Balloonatic & Co, in the color scheme of the room. This particular creation lasted over a month!

The white/gray hardwood floors were done by Beehive Flooring. We removed the beige shag carpet and installed this for a simpler look.  I am beyond happy with how it turned out. We added a white fur area rug to make the room feel more cozy.

The rocking lamb in the corner was a gift purchased by Bella's grandparents before she was born. It is the perfect addition to the room, although it will be awhile before it is put to use.

My husband installed white floating shelves for knick knacks.  Since Bella was born the shelves have become full with books, photos, flowers, candles, and toys.  Currently, Sophie the giraffe is one of her favourite toys (go figure). She is also liking her teether (pictured) by Otherware.  I recommend this baby book by Lucy Darling that we chose from Indigo.  Each page is a work of art and filing it out has been a breeze.

My dress was from Zara's summer collection, my husband's outfit is from Banjo Outpost. Bella's blanket and headband were made my her Grandma.

And now for my favourite part of the nursery: the collage wall!  I slowly gathered these prints and frames as we worked on the room.  The white, round mirrors are from Homesense. The white vintage mirror was an antique from my mom. The pink frame and pink jewelry box on the dresser are part of a set that was in my room when I was little.  The candle stick holders and magazine rack in previous pictures are also part of this set.  The top right picture reads 'Once Upon a Time' and is a print from Indigo.

The white wicker hamper (also from Homesense) has now been moved to the other side of the dresser and replaced with a full length oval mirror.  The WHITE change pad cover (what was I thinking?!) now has this pink waterproof cover resting on top of it. Lesson learned :)

Thank you for touring Bella Rose's nursery with me. I hope you enjoyed! A huge thank you to Desiree Martin Photography for the beautiful photos we will cherish forever.
