Gift Guide for Little Ladies
Little girls might just be my favourite people to shop for on my list! I love all things feminine and girly, and luckily my little girl does too. I’m sharing everything we already have and love, that is tested and true OR everything that is on our list for Bella this year. Most of these gifts are appropriate for girls age 3-10 years.
I think Spring/ Summer 2022 will be the year Bella learns to ride a pedal bike without training wheels. A larger “WOW” item under the tree is sure to get little one’s excited on Christmas morning. In past years, we have also got the kids these scooters which were a favourite, as well as balance bikes. Perfect for younger ones. Bonus, less wrapping- all they need is a bow! $200.
2. Rainbow High Winter Break Dolls
This doll series comes highly recommended from Bella, as she has been testing the set out for the past few weeks. There are 6 fashionable dolls to collect. They are perfect for the season, as each doll comes with skis, skates, or a snowboard, as well as two outfits. Bella spends hours playing with these dolls every week and her friends love them too. $59.99/each
3. Barbie DreamHouse
Definitely ‘the’ toy of 2021 and another “stand-out” present to surprise them with. Growing up, I always wished for a Barbie Dreamhouse and the newest edition puts the old ones to shame. The mansion stand 3.75 feet tall, is 3 stories, comes fully furnished, and includes a pool, party room, DJ booth, working elevator, hammock swing chair, puppy play area, and so much more. Luca loves playing with the humble abode just as much as his big sister. Perfect for ages 3-10. $249.99
4. Books
You can never have too many books. Most families read bedtime stories every night and the same old books get tiresome, fast. Grown-ups appreciate fresh literature just as much as little ones. Dear Girl, is on our list this year. It’s a love letter to your little lady, reminding her she’s powerful, strong, and valuable. Love that. A few more titles with messages of empowerment and love on our list of favourites include, Thelma the Unicorn, Claris in Paris, The Wonderful Things You Will Be, and In My Heart: A Book of Feelings. $21.77
5. Kinetic Sand
Now hear me out, I HATE slime. It ruins lives. But my kids love it. And I love them. But I still don’t let them have it. LOL. Bella begs for it. We compromise and settle on Kinetic Sand. It gives the same sensory experience, with less mess. It feels like wet sand, sticks together, oozes through your hands but doesn’t stick, and is mouldable. Love that it comes in a container to house it in. Kinetic Sand and Play-doh are musts for our long winters. $34.99
6. Board Games
We love family time- movie nights and game nights specifically, and Bella might just be the biggest fan. For younger kids, easy play games like Hungry Hippos and Let’s Go Fishin’ are great. They are easy to follow and play along with for most ages. As kids get older, you can advance to games that require more skill- like Zingo and Guess Who. Guess who is a classic and actually really great for language skills, such as asking and answering questions. We ordered it and I know we will spend many nights playing it together. $19.99
7. Kidizoom Camera
Kids see us taking photos non-stop, of course they want a chance to take pictures of their own! Bella uses her camera often, taking videos and photos, and we all enjoy seeing what she’s captured. It’s especially great if she goes on an outing without us. The newest edition also has an automatic print function- obviously providing that instant gratification kids love. $136
8. Vanity Desk
A vanity is the perfect spot for doll lovers to brush their dolls hair and play pretend. Bella has asked for one before. This one is oh so cute, and has super fast shipping! If your lady is more into crafts or drawing, she might prefer a desk! Either would be equally adorable in a bedroom or playroom. $155.99
9. Magic Mixies Magic Cauldron
I almost don’t want to mention this one because they seem to be sold out most places, but they are the hottest toy of the season. We were lucky enough to get out hands on one and it did not disappoint. You follow the spell book to create a magical potion, and poof- a new pet appears! They retail for $100 but some sites have them priced much higher.
